Global Joint Education Center for Science and Technology (GJEC) of Graduate School of Science and Technology (GSST), Kumamoto University, has been organizing International Student Conference on Advanced Science and Technology (ICAST) every year since 2008 to promote international exchange among graduate students and young researchers and to development cooperation in education and research among partner universities. ICAST is organized and managed mostly by students, providing a great opportunity for students to foster their leadership and communication skills in the international scope.

Previously, ICAST took place in overseas universities such as Peking University (China), Ewha Womans University (Korea), Ege University (Turkey), Shandong University (China), University of Seoul (Korea), University of Clermont Auvergne(France), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) (Indonesia), National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), and De La Salle University (Philippine) as well as in Kumamoto University.

We are pleased to announce the 18th ICAST that will be held at Universitas Hasanuddin on September 18-20, 2023. There will be all live oral presentations and poster presentations.
